Complimentary curbside recycling to resume May 10 for plastics, metals and paper

Beginning the week of May 10, Temple Terrace residents wishing to recycle paper, metals and plastics can place those items curbside - paper and cardboard in one City-issued recycling bin (same as currently being used), plastics and metals in another - by 7am on your existing recycling day.

The City continues to search for a viable, cost-effective means of recycling glass, but, for now, all glass should continue to be placed in the trash. FYI - all City trash is taken to a waste-to-energy plant for incineration. The resulting aggregate is then recycled.

*Note that a failure to separate metals and plastics from paper may result in contents of the bins being placed in the trash, as will the presence of glass in either bin.*

Recycling bins are available at no charge from the Public Works Department. Call 813.506.6570.
