Items for disposal may be set out between sunset the night before collection and 7:00 am on collection day and must be placed within 5 feet of the curb, but not in the street. Containers must be removed by sunset the day of collection.
Use appropriate containers - trash bags or cans no larger than 32 gallons with a tight fitting lid. Garbage container must be drained and not weigh more than 50 pounds.
Yard debris is picked up on Wednesdays only. Disposal regulations prohibit the city from collecting yard debris with normal garbage. Tree limbs must be shorter than 3 feet in length and less than 5 inches in diameter and bundled. Grass clippings and leaves must be containerized. Please do not include fruit with the yard debris.
Construction debris must be removed by contractor or owner, or call Public Works to arrange for a special trash pick-up.
For larger items that do not meet pre-collection requirements, the city offers a free, once-a-year annual pick-up or a special trash pick-up at additional cost. For more information, refer to the Special Trash Pick-Up section or call the Public Works Department at (813) 506-6570.
Hazardous materials, including televisions and electronics, will not be accepted. Please refer to the Hazardous Materials Disposal for information on disposal sites.
