FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. Why do I have to call Public Works requesting mosquito spraying?

A. The Public Works Department mosquito spraying program is designed to meet the requirements of the Florida Administrative Code. This code mandates that mosquito spraying be done on an "as-needed" basis. The City is no longer permitted to spray on a routine schedule. Spraying for mosquitoes is done only in those sections of the City in which requests for such service are received or when County-placed light traps warrant.
