WATER RESTRICTIONS
Strict Watering Rules Are in Effect for Temple Terrace and surrounding areas.

The Southwest Florida Water Management District has imposed water-conservation measures that go into effect July 1, 2010.
The rules apply to Temple Terrace and other areas except where stricter measures are imposed by local governments. The rules in unincorporated Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa, for example, vary from those in Temple Terrace.

If your water service is provided by a utility other than Temple Terrace, such as the City of Tampa, you must follow that utility's water-use regulations. Your water bill will indicate your service provider.

The following restrictions are now in effect for residents who receive water service from the City of Temple Terrace:

* Lawn watering is limited to twice a week and must be done before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m. Even-numbered addresses may water Thursdays and Sundays as needed. Odd-numbered addresses may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays as needed.

* Hand watering and micro-irrigation of plants (other than lawns) may be done any day, and at any time, as needed.

* New lawns and plants have a 30-30 establishment period, which allows any-day watering for the first 30 days. During the second 30 days, watering is allowed three days a week according to the following schedule: Even-numbered addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Odd-numbered addresses may water on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. If you are establishing a new lawn, please advise the Code Compliance Department at (813) 506-6680 to avoid being cited for watering violations.

* There are no restrictions on fountains, car washing or pressure washing. However, water-management officials ask that residents be as efficient as possible, using a shut-off nozzle on their hose, so water isn't wasted.
