Keith Chapman was named fire chief of the Temple Terrace Fire Department in 2007.
Chapman joined the department in 1996 as a firefighter and paramedic. He was a volunteer firefighter for three years before that.
Chapman was an integral part of the team that worked toward achieving the fire department's accreditation. The Temple Terrace Fire Department was awarded Accredited Agency status in 2006 by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International. The honor places the department in elite standing as a top-rated fire department both nationally and internationally.
Chapman earned a Bechelor of Science degree in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology from the University of Cincinnati in 2002 and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix in 2004. He also has earned degrees in Fire Science Technology and Emergency Medical Services from Hillsborough Community College.
